Viton "O" Ring

Anybody have a part number and supplier for the Viton "O" Rings used in Cleveland 30-9 wheel cylinders?

Be sure it is compatible with your fluids, and check the temperature range for your use.

I just use the standard o-ring as supplied with spares from ACS. I have a -7 and low pad wear so will check for hardening when my pads finally get replaced. If mine are set and/or brittle, then Viton it is.

My plane sat for about 6 weeks in the paint shop. I flew home and the temps dropped to the low 20's for a few days. Went to the hangar and found one brake cylinder leaking. Replaced with Viton O rings (the Matco's come with Buna). No problems since. YMMV.
 
Confirm applicability - fluids you use and temps you fly

Following edited info pulled from data at first site identified,.... looking at it,... you would not want to use Viton if getting your brake fluid from Local auto parts place... or if you do really cold weather flying (including at altitude)



Under dynamic conditions, the lowest service temperature is between 5?F and 0?F.


Not Compatible With:

Glycol based brake fluids
Brake Fluid



Chemical Resistance:

Mineral oil and grease, low swelling in ASTM oil No. 1, and IRM 902 and IRM 903 oils
Hydraulic Oil, Petroleum Base
Non-flammable hydraulic fuels in the group HFD
Silicone oil and grease
Mineral and vegetable oil
Very good ozone, weather and aging resistance.
