Instrument Lighting

I?m looking for a way to add a light ring to a couple instruments that are not currently lighted. I don?t really want to pay PMA prices. $55 a piece and I need to light 4 instruments.. seems a bit steep.

Anyone know of an experimental friendly version of this?

EL Wire with a ring to redirect the light into the instrument and to block the light from obscuring the instrument.
