Painting pushrods

Building a RV-14. I have primed the elevator pushrods but want to paint them. I want to use a Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel. Any reason why not?

No reason not to. But, in my opinion they need/want to be painted.
With some thing that will stick well. I used an epoxy but I do not see why Acrylic Enamel wouldn't work

Prep them well per the can's instructions.

Don't forget to do something to prevent the interiors from corroding, too.
