How much yaw is acceptable to fix with a trim tab?

As the title says, how much ball deflection in cruise would you consider acceptable to just trim out? I’m sure opinions will differ but my goal is to gather some context on where to draw the line for my plane (trim tab versus more rigging/alignment checks).

I'd say up to 0.5 or maybe 1 ball out, since it takes only light pressure on the pedal to move the ball this much.
