Vans Tach transducer

I have a Vans tach transducer installed on my O-320. I see in another older Dynon post that it was believe to generate 1 Pulse per rotation. I am seeing about 4 times the real RPM with a single pulse per rotation (PPR) setting in my Skyview. Have you found a need to set the PPR higher, maybe 4, for the Vans transducer with the Skyview EMS?

The version of the Vans transducer I have generates 8 pules per revolution. As the Lycoming accessory section turns at half crankshaft speed I set the Skyview to 4 pulses per revolution (PPR) and all is well. Verified Dynon tach readings with a hand held optical tachometer.
