Orcas to Paine over the Tulips

Here is a video I took Sunday flying home from Orcas Island (Eastsound) to Paine field where we took a quick detour over the Tulips. Days like Sunday are why I build and fly in the northwest. Bakah and even our dog Ariel had a great time.

The video is the entire flight but I fast forwarded sections to get it into 4.5 minutes.

The Skagit area looks great! Sunday was a top notch day in Washington, no question, with crystal clear air everywhere I was looking. I took a nice tour down to the Columbia Gorge, over to Goldendale, up over the Horse Heaven Hills to Yakima, then over the Cascades and through the Class B to Bremerton, all in about 2:25.

Every VFR pilot in Western Washington knew what to be doing on Sunday
