GRT EIS 4000 tach/P-leade diode polarity ?

Good day all,
I'm installing the 4000 in my single seat -4 project.
The EIS 4000 unit is supplied with diodes for the Tach Signal/input (so a unit failure doesn't ground the mag).
Question...the diodes come pre-wired with female spade connectors at one end and male connectors at the other. Is there a polarity for these ?
Which end should point to the mag ?
My apologies if this is a dumb question.
Thanks very much.
Mike

Are you sure that is a diode? I though it was a 27Kohm resistor so the mag didn't think it was being grounded and so shut down. If I'm right there is no polarity. Either that or I was just lucky when I put mine in! If it is a diode a multimeter will show which way it should go in

Pete

PS Thinking about this more, I always though mags generated AC, so it can't be a diode ...

Thanks Pete !
Resistor makes sense. Been spending too much time crimping wires.
Appreciate you taking the time to respond.
