Canopy Rib Flange & Attach Angle

I have a question on orienting the attach angle to the canopy rib flange ( F-1202H ). Page 29-06.

The KAI says to orient the base of the 1202H and the attach angle so that they are planar by setting the on a flat surface. My canopy rib flanges are bent with a significant angle and the only way those will be planar is if I bend the flange so that it is square with the web. Every photo I look at seems to be that there are no gaps, so the flange would need to be square to the web. I'm doubting myself because the angle of the flange seems intentional.

What's the deal here?

I don’t recall needing to bend mine much, but you’ll definitely need to bend the flange so it’s perpendicular with the web. It needs to sit flat/flush with the avionics shelf.

Pardon the bump of an older thread, but I just encountered the same issue and wanted to verify the solution. The bottom flanges of both of my F-1202H Canopy Ribs are bent at a roughly 105 deg angle relative to the web, so the F-1202Y aluminum angle will not sit square with the rib and the panel base. Did other people have to bend the canopy rib flanges by hand back to 90 deg? I ask because both the left and right ribs are bent consistently and throughout the flange, so it sure seems like that angle is intentional...
