Oil filter box on firewall or remote locator?

I'm converting a 6A to a 6 from a Ford V6 to 0360, the Lyc has a filter sticking out the back. Is it better to relocate the filter or build a recess box, if so how does the box clear the rudder support? Just curious!

Buy the filter recess from Van's and install it. It fits good and no problem with the rudder bars.

remote oil filter

The remote oil filter is the only way to go, in my opion . Takes almost all the mess out of filter changing when you are doing an oil change.
