I need to know how long the barrel socket is for the main gear and a measurement from the top of the fitting down to the center of the bolt that holds the gear leg in.

If I understand your description right, the top to bottom measurement of the "socket" is 10.5", and the center of the bolt hole is 3/8" from the top.
