Problem with S-Tec

I know there are some engineers in the group. My S-Tec autopilot locks up after it warms up. The factory won't stand behind their 3 year old product. Doesn't this sound like a cracked PC board problem?
S-tec factory wants 1500 bucks to repair their 'fine' product. Does anybody know an electronics Gugu that could fix it for a better price?

Even if...

S-Tec told you they would stand behind their product, you would still get it back from them screwed up... they just bite the big one for sure IMHO.
