Where to find free Photo Sharing sites.
Try searching Google for 'photo sharing' and ' Free Image Hosting'.
You will find dozens of places on the web where you can upload thousands of pictures for free. Then, post the URL of that gallery in this forum. If the URL changes sometime down the road you can come back and edit the URL yourself.
Look for the little yellow box  in any thread you are posting - that's where you post the URL for a picture that you have hosted somewhere on the web. TIP: Upload the picture at 900 pixels or less (wide) so it doesn't hang off the screen of most users monitors.

Looks like photos on VAF, hosted on Photobucket are now invisible... 
[ed. Ross, I poked around in some threads with PB images and they display OK. I searched the web for news on Photobucket in the last week and didn't find any news mentioning changes. v/r,dr]

Hosting sites??
I used to post pictures hosted by Picasa, (google)
but no longer able to do that as everyone knows by now.
What is the preferred site to host pics for everyone?
I am still able to post links but I prefer to post picture rather than
a link.

I switched from Picasa to Google Photos. I still use Picasa as my image manager and viewer on my computers.

You can still post the image like picasa. Size control is another matter still can be done just a more skilled job. Maybe big G will take suggestions for making that user friendly.

Sites tried....
For direct embedding....
No luck with Flickr or Dropbox.... I found Photobucket works great.

I just posted the below with Flickr from my iPad:
I do not use the app, but grab the link in Safari. It's a tad convoluted, but I actually made a little YouTube video of the procedure if anyone is interested. |
