Default I am in the same boat

As @SantosDumont. I was ready to order my SB fuse back in March 2020, then all heck broke loose. So I've had a 95% complete empennage sitting in my basement since then. I paused because I wasn't quite sure how things were going to shake out.

But things seemed to have settled down for me, got a new job, etc. So last month I put the 25% deposit on a SB Fuse kit, and just heard back from Anne at Vans today that they got my completed order form with add/deletion list.

My plan now, barring any unforeseen worldwide chaos, is when the fuse ships (sometime in April/May it looks like now ) I will immediately order the finishing kit. By the time that ships I should be ready to order QB wings and the engine/prop.

I have my QB wing and fuselage on order (expected May 2022) just ordered my finishing kit. Don't know if I should get in que for Panel (15months) or engine. Don't know if best to get panel or engine first.

For FWF kit does anyone know if there is a list for it? I suspect I need some deletions there as I am using different alt/starter/battery.

Default Lead times are "unknown" in my opinion.

I ordered RV-14 QB Wing and Fuselage kits in May 2020, and I still don't have them yet. Nor do I have an estimated date of when they will arrive. The delay is becoming more and more of a concern to me. Honestly, I have to say I am experiencing a lot of disappointment.

Getting sad when SB is faster than QB. Met a guy in Cody w/ 850hrs on his 14 and he built in 2yrs. I can't even get parts fast enough to build that fast.

For my 14A tail kit:

Ordered 4/9
Crate Date 8/16
Ship Date ???? Haven't heard a word. I emailed them and the response was that half of the crating department staff had been affected by covid. So when it ships I'll receive a bill of lading. Until then...patience.

I'm sure nobody wants those kits shipped worse than Van's.
