bench grinder question

This might be a dumb question, but....

I just got in a bench grinder (well really it is a polisher). I have a C/P 7A MED Scotch Brite pad for one side.

Question: what should I put on the other side?

I left the other side still on. I found I had to FAB other metal parts, ie bucking bar, or grind off the end of something or sharpen.
Dont use it for AL parts, it may explode !
 
Yes, I believe that is it. Mine came from Avery.

For reference, I was truing them up after installation with the square end of an old 10 inch file. The soft one trued nicely, the harder one cut the file down. Happy deburring!
 
If it came with a fine stone wheel, leave it on the right if you are right handed.

The polishing wheel should be on the left if you are right handed.

And don't mount it to your bench unless you want a filthy bench.
