Hi Guys/Gals,
I've got a Mid-Continent MD41-1404A as an annunciator with a KI-209A and GPS-400 and KN-53 Nav radio connected together. I want to use the Nav/GPS switch on the MD41 to switch between the two (GPS400 & KN53) through the KI-209A. Pin 1 & 36 on the KI-209A need to go to ground for the GPS relay to engage on the KI-209A. Pin 4 on the MD41 goes to ground when the Nav/GPS switch is pushed in but this is apparently just a momentary switch. This engages the GPS but switches back to Nav when released.
Has anyone got a fix for this or do I have the MD41 and KI-209A hooked up wrong? Is the MD41 defective (i.e. is this already supposed to flip/flop between Nav & GPS)? I thought of adding an external flip/flop relay between the two but I'm wondering if anyone else has worked this out.
Ultimately I'd like the Nav/GPS switch on the MD41 to switch between Nav and GPS on the KI-209A.
