Great picture! I love that your son gets the stylish shades, best headset, AND the left seat. Well done dad!

Sorry, I didn't see your post sooner.. The camera is an Insta360 OneX2 and the mount is from Flight flix, their "Maui surface mount". https://flightflix.net/product/maui-...ce-pole-mount/

I use the GoPro 360 Max for almost all of my shots, great for aviation as you can adjust where it looks after the fact. I actually use a Fat Gecko suction mount with safety tethers in case it fails but thus far it's held at 6 G's and 200KTS! It also allows for a lot of cool mounting spots like the tail facing forward.

Whiskey Whiskey,
Yessir, my Gen 1 GoPro enclosed in it's protective case and attached to a single wingtip screw has hung in there (literally) thru numerous iterations of G's, excursions in Airspeed limits and even rain, no worries eh...
Like the old Timex watch commercials, "takes a lickin and keeps on tickin"

Smokey

PS: My former Viper Bros are now allowed to attach GoPro's inside the F16 cockpit, probably good that wasn't allowed for my generation...
