Default When to paint?

Working on the tip up canopy on my RV-14A (never built a tip up before). I'm wandering if I should paint the AFT canopy frame (C-01405) which is the frame with the handle you pull on to close the canopy, before final installation of the actual canopy. The canopy is fastened with machine screws and this frame will be seen through the clear canopy. This frame parallel's the roll over frame.
I'm getting ready to paint the glare shield flat black and am thinking of painting this frame at the same time, different color though.
Thanks Ron

I painted my entire canopy frame to match my interior color before the final mount of the canopy.

I also drilled my glareshield for my GPS antennas, defrost fan, and padding, then painted it flat black.

Then when the plane was painted, I painted the outside canopy strip over the roll bar to match the exterior color.
