Default Trailer for RV-12

Has anyone had any experience with a enclosed trailer for the RV-12?

I would like to take it with me behind a motor home. So far I have not found any solution except very heavy trailers.

Many times trailers have been discussed on the form. So far there has not been any commercial trailers specifically designed for the RV12 turn Key. You will have to buy a trailer that will fit your needs and complete the interior design yourself. The best trailer design to show up on the form since the form started in 2008 was discussed on this thread posted 5/2014 by David K. Here is the link to the thread:

Here is the link to his pictures of his design:

Please post your final design if you build a trailer so that all can benefit.
Good luck!

There are many old boat trailers on Craigslist--best to find one that has a title but you can sometimes get the no-title trailers retitled.

They are good candidates to become aircraft trailers. It's a fairly modest job for a professional weldor. I modified one to haul a Long-EZ.

I saw an RV-12 specific trailer in this video:-

Though not an enclosed trailer it is built specifically for the RV-12. I don't know if the vendor (Rhino Aircraft?) could adapt it to be enclosed, like a mobile workshop for the plane?

Found this from a previous VAF thread:- http://www.vansairforce.com/communit...ad.php?t=75028

I have a trailer that came with our new RV12 SLSA. Have 40 hrs on the plane and I don't foresee needing it again.

Default Best RV12 Trailer I have seen.

Hemlockfield definitely has all the problems solved. Its by far the best RV12 trailer design I have seen. I wonder how many of these he could sell if he decided to build these......mmmmm....sounds like a new start up company to me.
