Default Van's static air kit

Is Van's static air kit good, or should I buy an aftermarket kit? What are the prod and cons?

Simple, works as designed.
Some suggest the standard kit product with the pop rivet is not "professional" and the attachment of the tubing will not hold.
They have been proven wrong by the thousands flying with no issues.

If you are going to buy aftermarket, make sure they understand RV's. Many have not worked.

I had erroneous airspeed indications with the non-Van's static system. Off as much as 7 mph.

I installed the standard Van's system and now my speeds are withing 1 mph of other planes with calibrated indicators at 80 mph and 180 mph.

I am very happy with the system.
