WAAS source
Does the 600 exp not still have to have an external WAAS GPS source?

Price comparison
Comparing the Navworx and Skyguard units shows a relatively small price differential. The Navworx store ( http://www.navworx.com/navworx_store...DS600_EXP.html) , shows a price of $1,366.00 which includes a 1090ES Receiver, Transmonspe, Internal Mounted GPS antenna and no external antennas or cables. The new SkyGuard model ( http://adsb.skyguardtwx.com/uatessqu...sceiver-model/) with a 1090ES receiver and a squawk detector (for mode C transponders) sells on the factory website for $1,575, and for $1499 on the Adventure Pilot website. So now there is a 10% price differential between comparable Navworx and Skyguard units.

Both the Navworx and SkyGuard sites say they have internal GPS's.
Navworx: Contains internal GPS system - does not require an externally connected GPS. (but their price list shows $59 for an internally mounted antenna.)
SkyGuard: Integrated precision WAAS GPS insures accurate location as displayed on moving map.

If you have the gtx-327 or higher, you don't need the Transmonspe.
Deduct $169

And if you don't need to connect to a Mode C transponder, then you can buy an earlier model of the Skyguard for only $999 from Adventure Pilot.

Do tell when you receive it.
I ordered my mine on 5/18. I can see from this thread that quite a few others ordered earlier.... which is good for me. Regardless of your platform (12,6,7 etc) please share your photos of your antenna install and how you routed your antenna wires. I have an RV6A and a gtx 327 with the transponder antenna way up front. I intend to begin installing the antenna before the unit arrives, but sorta wanted to know how other have decided to do it.
And.. please let the rest of us know when you get your unit and how your installation goes.
I did email navworx and they indicated today that it would be about 3 weeks for my shipment to arrive. Hopefully that means that they are build a whole bunch of these boxes at one time.
Thanks

I think Navworx is my best option
I like the Navworx solution for several reasons. The low cost, the internal GPS, and the ability to keep my 76A. I don't want to be grounded if my 400W were to fail and don't like the idea of always having to have it on just for the transponder. In fact, I was planning to pull the 400w out to lighten the plane for future aerobatic flights. If the 400W were to fail in the clouds, ATC would still get my GPS position from the Navworx box, and I could make do with handheld boxes. I think it would add a little more redundancy. And, if the Navworx box fails, at least my mode C radio is still transmitting.

Latest from NavWorx
I pinged Bill via email yesterday and his response was encouraging:
?We have resolved the last of our technical issues and are now in the process of manufacturing. Initial customer orders are now shipping and we hope to clear the backlog in the next 30-40 days. I want to extend my apologies and appreciation to those who have waited so long. As pilots ourselves, we hope to see you in the air soon!
