Default Setrab Oil Cooler O320 ?

Any users of either Setrab or Mocal oil coolers on RV-4 0-320 ?

What size did you find was most effective ?

Standard or heavy duty?

Installation pictures would be useful if available.

7 row mocal on an O-360 in a DR107 has worked for me for 4 years. Definitely heavy duty due to start up oil pressure surges. Will post a link to pics tomorrow.

See this page - might not work on an RV-4 due to cowl cheeks.
So far no cracks in 4 years - plenty of hard aeros.

I have a new one if you need it. Comes with the 90 deg fittings. I may even have the brackets I made. I did some upgrades to my engine (more horse power) and placed a bigger oil cooler on the plane just in case. I also installed an oil cooler shutter. The engine I have previously ran with the same part number oil cooler for over 1200 hrs and never had a problem. It was rated for 160 hp. Please disregard the wires. My plane does not look like that any more.

The information that I post is just that; information and my own personal experiences. You need to weight out the pros and cons and make up your own mind/decisions. The pictures posted may not show the final stage or configuration. Build at your own risk.
