Ignore the cities
Nicolas,
As the title suggests, forget the cities. Europe has lots of cities. See the country and visit people. Your idea of parks is a great one. If you get to Denver I will give you a ride in my 6a.
Good luck with the visit!
Geoff

I would skip the flight from Vegas to Chicago and do that leg in a rental car, you will get to see a lot more. Stay in small towns along the way.

Si I got many tips for NYC and some for Vegas... Any good tips on the trip from Chicago to Oshkosh? Should I drive around the Michigan Lake and visit the sleeping bear dune or is it not worth the long drive?
How shoul I organize my 5-6 days in Oshkosh? Shows, evening event to absolutely not miss..???
Any good tips on accommodation in NYC, parks around Vegas?
Thanks again guys!

Better yet, rent the car in Vegas drive to St George Utah and get some RV driver there to give you a ride around Zion Natl Park!
And if you have time then drive to Chicago.

I drove a car/camper around the lake for my vacation one year when I left Oshkosh. Great trip. Mackinaw Island... Sleepy Bear... Straits... Upper Pennensula was great. West coast of Michigan is forgettable.
If you e got the time... It's a great trip. But spending time in Chicago is always a good idea too. Do you fancy the city or country side. Both are great. Boils down to personal preferences. Mackinaw island is tough to beat though!

Speaking as someone who has lived in (and will return to) Utah for 35 years, after touring central and southern UT, I would get myself to Salt Lake City and book a 3.5 hour airline flight to Chicago. Otherwise it's a loooong 2+ day drive across prairie and farm country to Chicago. Add another half day to Oshkosh.

Hi Nicolas,
PM or email me via VAF when you are here in NYC. I have some plans but it could change any time. Maybe we can go for a ride over Big Apple in my RV9A.

Vegas to Denver isn't a bad drive, and driving through the Rockies is worthwhile. But I would definitely book an airline flight from Denver to Chicago.
