Default Hi All! Picking up my RV-7 Empennage Tomorrow!

Hi Everyone! Long time lurker here, finally decided to bite the bullet and start working on an RV-7, which is sitting at the Fedex here in Savannah waiting for me to pick up tomorrow! I figured that I'd never finish an RV if I didn't get around to actually starting one... Just wanted to say "hello!", and introduce myself as I'm sure I'll be spending a lot more time on here for the next several years

P.S. Any other Gulfstream folks lurking around on here?

Brandon

Default Welcome Aboard!

Good selection on the -7, probably the best of the best

You will find that it's a great and sometimes very frustrating journey.

I'm guessing you are working at the Service Center in Savannah?

Default Welcome

Welcome Brandon
Good choice.
You're exactly right. If you don't start, bow can you possibly finish.
Incredible amount of knowledge here. Search before building any component.

I'm an engineering type that has spent lots of years dictating airplane designs and not nearly enough personal hands-on time

Welcome Brandon,

I am a bit over halfway through a -7 build. You will find the build process to be every descriptive in the book but ultimately very rewarding. This forum is a great place to help bridge the gaps that the Van's documentation sometimes has.

Good luck, and enjoy the journey!!!

Welcome, Brandon! There are several builders in the area that I'm aware of - all GS. I'm the odd man out. Look forward to following your progress. Enjoy the adventure!
