Doesn't that depend on which wing you have? I thought that the early versions were limited to 1550.

Do you know how one would identify the wing as one or the other?

Some one in tech support should be able to check for you based on the delivery date of the wing kit used to build the RV-8 you have.

Dash 1 or not dash 1
The way I understand it is, the old wing was 1600lbs. aerobatic and 1800lbs. gross. The newer dash 1 is now 1850lbs. gross, but the factory did not lift the aerobatic weight to 1650lbs. It was left at 1600lbs. I do not know why. It may be for better safety or something. You would need to ask them.
Hope this helps. Yours as always. R.E.A. III #80888
