Default Stall warning vane hole

So I didn't read the instructions... I ended up removing the area between the two guide holes before enlarging them to a #10. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm worried the bit won't bite properly without the material on one side of the hole. Normally I'd just use the drill press but because of the location this isn't an option.

Thanks,

Jim,

Maybe just use the drill to trace an outline of where the hole would have been and have at it with a small file. I think I shaped the slot 90% with small hobby files.

Agreed. It won't take very long to file it and the hole will be exact.
