Fuel Tank Part Numbers

I am going to rebuild the fuel tanks for an RV-8. I am ordering all the parts.

My kit came with skins labeled T-701-L for example. I note on the parts list there is a T-801-PP-L. They are the same price so I assume they are the same thing. Is there a reason there are separate -7 and -8 parts listed?

Check your prints for the correct part numbers. The newer 8 tanks have fully pre-punched skins and ribs, combination of 8 and 7 part numbers. Look carefully.

Locate your original packing list from Van's. That will specify your exact needs. That advice was from the good ladies at Van's themselves.
