The lowest airspace you need to be under is the Oakland class C which goes down to 1500 feet. Stay under that and you don't have to talk to anybody.

Yep. You certainly don't want to explain yourself to Homeland Security!

I was overhead at about 7:30 am which was well before the TFR went into effect. I'm glad that TFRs show up on Foreflight.
