Default Palm Beach Florida to Reno

Planning a pre-dawn launch with over night in Caveman Ranch UT. Any locals with knowledge to share about Caveman? Tent or Rooms?

After getting hammered by weather enroute to Oshkosh I've planned 2 routes.
Over south Utah and the southern route over El Paso

Lot of flying!

Any recommendations of "gotta see"?

I was going to call BS on those wind barbs until I checked for myself. I don't recall ever seeing such a lack of head wind going West.
Enjoy the flight.

Some great racing out at Reno! Closely matched aircraft tightly packed while running the course.

I'm surprised to see that the -8s shown are not running with a tailwheel fairing.
I would think that would be worth a couple of knots.

I thought the same, talked to a bunch of Reno guys that say it just isn't worth anything.

What kind of speed are they getting out of the RV8s in this class?
