The runway is as hard, as a grass runway can be hard.
The runway is very well maintained and underneath lays drainage.
Texel Airport has received in the past several big birds who normally land on asphalt. Such a Fokker 50,70,100, Cessna Citation, P84 Jet Provost, L-39 Albatross

And I know the RV-14, it can land anywhere on grass, dirt or gravel runways

Yep, the PH-OBO will be there at Texel, the friendliest GA airfield in Holland!
Better start building that RV8, so that you can join the Van's Airforce Lowlands Wing....

Despite the low clouds on friday and saturday, 8 RV's attended the Texel Fly-in. Good number considering the weather conditions.
Here are some pic's from the fly-in:

Victor sorry I didn't speak to you. Did you have fun at the fly-in?

Next year I expect to double the number of RV's that I can welcome in VanGrunsven Boulevard. Spread the word!
