You can also buy a smoke system later to add on. Saves wear and tear on those main tires....

As one of only two observers for Derek's first flight, I would like to report that his first flight was professional in every respect. Great planning, and he executed the plan well.
He was calm, collected, and ready. He had read several articles on first flights, including the excellent one written by Paul Dye. He wisely didn't invite a large crowd.
It was a great day! And I lost the bet on where he would touch down on the runway! I thought for sure he would float further down the runway, especially in an RV-9A !!!
It was a picture-perfect touchdown, nose wheel held off, and the proof is in the photo with the smoke coming from the main wheels. (Courtesy of my son, the photographer.)
Derek can fly my plane anytime!

Awesome man, congrats. I steal ideas from your construction log all the time, by the way. Good looking -9.
