Default First Flight - RV-9A - #92103

Well, while you were all out jaywalking at Oshkosh I decided to see if this baby would fly! And boy did it - Oh so sweet does that 9A fly Special Thanks to Pete and David Hunt for manning the ground station and Camera.

That's huge, Derek! Congrats. How long did you stay up for? Any heavy wing tendencies? I agree about the smoking-tires-on-touchdown shot, a classic.

I flew for a good ".5" around the airport. She flew hands off and ball centered, surprising considering the wingtips aren't perfect with the ailerons. Glad I didn't fuss over it before flying first. CHT's are high, as to be expected I suppose on a new engine.
