Default GTN-650 database options

I'm installing a GTN-650 and SkyView panel, and I'm wondering what smarter people than me are doing for database subscriptions.

My current plan is to buy a year-long NavData-only subscription for the GTN ($585), and rely on SV for everything else (taxi diagrams, obstacles, terrain, airport directory, and frequencies).

Am I missing out on any amazing GTN features with this plan? Is this an intelligent way of being able to file /G and fly GPS approaches?

I know PilotPaks are designed for multiple devices, but the only other possible product I'd have is Garmin Pilot. I'm pretty happy with ForeFlight at the moment, though, so this isn't a huge consideration.

Thanks as always for your time!

Default Great Question

I'm in exactly the same situation - a month or two until flying with the updated panel. Looking forward to replies.

I have 200 hours behind a GTN, and I only keep the Nav DB up to date. All of the other databases aren't that important in my opinion.
