Default Horizontal Stabilizer Question

So far the plans have been telling me when to prime (if desired). However, the plans do not call for it on the Hinge Bracket Assembly. The brackets are powder coated but the VA-146 Flange Bearing is not. Should that part be primed? Thanks!

I'd say prime it. Tape over the bearing and shoot it with some SEM or something; it's machined and definitely not alclad aluminum. Just be sure the bearing itself is not painted so it doesn't freeze up.
