Default I Fly and Trio Auto pilot

I have been trying to couple my I Fly 720 with my Pro Pilot by Trio for a while now and with limmited success. The early version of software on the I Fly seemed to work well but now it looses the GPS signal constantly with a perfect signal on the I Fly. I have contacted both companies and have had no success. Has anyone had a similar problem or can anyone tell me how to get them to work together successfully? Thanks.

I was losing signal at times until I ran a dedicated ground wire for the rs232 data line. Airframe ground did not provide sufficient magic...

Yep, the masterminds at Trio place a very high priority on using only valid NMEA data to drive the autopilot. The filters are tight and might reject a data sentence that gets roughed up a bit.
