Default IO 360 engine prices

Hi All,

There's been some very intersting threads w.r.t engines and there's alot to consider. I haven't narrowed down my configuration choices but assuming an IO 360 180HP engine in the most basic configuration, what are the current 2nd hand prices and range / variabiltiy for (a) low hrs (ie: 3-500 hrs) (b) mid timed at say 1000 hrs and (c) high timed such as 1500 -1800 hrs. Cheers & thanks in advance!

Default add a 4th element to your matrix...

... which would be to monitor the new Freedom motor program from Titan. All info on their website, or pm/email me, but I was recently in the same search mode as you and ended up with a fine motor via the Titan Freedom program.

This doesn't answer your questions, but the next opportunity may present during your search.

Will all of these Freedom engines go by bid or will they be for sale at an advertised price at some point?

I found their website. All their engines are advertised with the same base price, regardles of whether it is 160HP or 200 HP. Clearly the add ons will be expensive. What the final price is I have no clue. I emailed the company w.r.t further information but have not had a response.

Keep your eyes and ears open locally as well. I bought an overhauled angle valve in boxes, new crank, no mags, no sump for 11k locally. He had sent it out for overhaul, then went parallel valve instead. Best couple days of my build was assembling that motor. Really enjoyable...with an engine guru alongside of course. Saved enough on that engine to step up to constant speed....which now I will never live without.

My next choice was to overhaul a wentworth engine. After that, an ECI kit from Americas.
