Default Bill Stevens

Bill Stevens passed away recently at age 93. A fine aviator, he flew many aircraft types: C-47s, B-26s, P-51s, F-86s and many civilian general aviation aircraft.
A fine craftsman and careful builder, Bill completed a Starduster Too, RV-4, RV-6, RV-6A, RV-9A and his last project, an RV-12, he finished and made the first flight at age 89. He also helped on many other projects.
Bill was a reader of VAF Forums and a contributor, even though as a DFC holder, Doug has specifically exempted war heroes from doing so.
Bill was soft-spoken, extremely knowledgeable and widely admired and respected. He leaves a large hole in EAA Chapter 328 at Lewiston Idaho. He will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful friend, mentor and a nonpareil member of the greatest generation.

Default To Bill

Hand salute, slowly, with reverence.

Prayers for Bill's family.
