Can someone who did the flat fairings post a pic of the underside?

Thanks Vince. Unfortunately the underside of the -4 (at least *my* -4) looks to be a fair bit different from the Rocket due to the exhaust 'tunnel' - the fairing doesn't butt up against a flat surface on the underside. I'd like to see these the bottom of a -4 with the strip fairings if anyone's got one. I'm reworking the glass fairings on mine right now but I've considered ditching them several times.

Nauga,

I had flat wrapped fairings on my RV-4 also. Don't have any photos of them though.

I used cardboard to create a template so the wraps would butt up against the fuselage. I don't recall anything difficult about it. Maybe your 4 is different?

That might explain why the stock glass fairings actually fit

Send (or post) a photo of the bottom of your plane so we can see what the difficulties are?

Default Here is my unfinished underside

Need to trim a bit more around the drain and add a grommet to the vent line.

Thanks Derek, that's really helpful. The part I was curious about is in the top of the frame in your pic where F-451 rounds the corner of the fuse.
