Default LED landing light replacement?

...a drop-in LED replacement bulb for the rectangular leading-edge landing lights in my RV-8A.

In all the discussions of LED landing lights I've seen here, I have never seen this question answered. Does such a light exist?

Not what you want but:

It only took very minor trimming to mount the PAR36 style SunSpots in my rectangular Duckworks mounts. All I needed to buy was the round clamp/cover.

Default LED landing light replacement?

Kahuna,

Still not clear to me because I don't know exactly what Jay has in his airplane. Does your replacement fit the "Original Lightweight Rectangular 55W Light Kits", Duckworks p/n LL-DW-01:
http://www.duckworksav.com/LELightKi...Halogen%20Kits

I'm guessing the answer is yes. Just want to make sure before ordering.

Default Duckworks LED lights

Duckworks has a 22W LED that is not exactly a direct drop in replacement, but we do offer free mount plate modification for those that have the rectangular mounts already.

The new 22W LED we have is physically a little larger than the original rectangular halogen light, so once the mount plate is trimmed to accept the LED, it looks all factory built with no needed adapter plates. If you purchase the LED and send your mount plate to us, we will cut the mount plate on a CNC machine accordingly and return it with your new lights.

If you don't want to send the mount plate in, we will provide a template to cut your own plate. It is not very difficult either way.

This new LED is very similiar in performance to our Low Cost 35W HID lights and has a narrow pattern that pushes the light out a long distance.
