Default 4500 to hub?

I am about to complete an airplane with a 4500 system. Will there be a way to hook. It up to the hub and then talk to the radios, autopilot, etc? If the answer is yes, you just sold a radio, an autopilot, an intercom... Help me out here, it's Christmas time!

The AF-4500 does not have the Skyview Network. You can add a second AF-5000 screen to talk Skyview and it will talk to your AF-4500. You could also trade in the AF-4500 for the AF-5400, same mounting and wiring and you will get the Skyview network.

Is there an upgrade from recent 5XXX hardware or is it just a software update?

I sure am glad all those fancy functions won't work in Europe! Otherwise I'd "have" to trade in my brand new 4500s, 3400s, Garmin 328 Mode S and the Garmin SL40 VHF....

On the other hand, I sure would've been nice to have all them functions in the -7 (weather, traffic etc etc) not to mention that satelite radio (SX? or WX) in the car!

We had to make a hardware change on the main board for the Skyview network. To add the Skyview network you will need to swap out the main EFIS boards to the new AF-5000 R7 hardware.

AF-5000T Touch screen upgrade $1,500

AF-5000 R7 Upgrade for Skyview network $1,000

AF-5000T Touch screen and Skyview network $2,000

Another option is to add a second new screen and let it be the Skyview network interface.
