Default O-360 cowl v. IO-360 cowl?

Ready to buy a finish kit (from someone). Planing on installing IO-360 however, finish kit lists 7A cowl kit O-360. Are they compatible with IO-360 or not?
Please help if you know.

Default Depends

The cowling is likely set up for vertical induction carb. If you're using vertical induction fuel injection, you'll be fine. However if your planning on using horizontal induction, then you want the cowling with no chin scoop.

Van's IO360 (smooth) cowl is used with all angle valve engines and horizontal induction systems.

Van's O360 cowl (snorkel) may be used on all parallel valve engines with vertical induction (FI or carb).

So I would have to make some modifications to the engine I want to buy from VAN's:
XIO-360-M1B 180 horisontal cs
Unless I can specify vertical induction v. horizontal... when ordering with VAN's
