Default cleaning unfinished fiberglass

I didn't seal the fiberglass on the inside of my wheel covers and now realise what a hard job it will be to clean it up for finishing, having flown for a year or so.
Has anyone got good method of doing this?

Default Ufff

That is quite difficult. We use a combination of steam and engine degreaser (being careful with the paint) and sanding away the saturated stuff when we need to repair a wheel pant. It's never fun. I'll be curious to see what others do.

Default This works.

I remember using K2r spot remover to draw castor oil out of model airplane parts. I still use the stuff to pull oil out of fiberglass. It works great!

Default Cleaning fluid

If you can find it, regular dry cleaning fluid (perchlorethyline) works great, and does not damage paint or fiberglass.

Good ideas, I'll give it a go. The K2r is probably easiest to get hold of.
