Default Extra holes in w-706

Anyone know what the purpose or use of these extra holes in the fwd wing spar are/were for?

Just curious......

Hi Rob-

I built an 8, which has a very similar wing...if not the same. I recall having these on my spar as well. Can only guess they are some sort of tooling hole. Never thought much more about them.

In your 3rd picture, the 1/8 tooling hole located right near the aileron bell-crank is where I blind riveted a small plastic anchor point for my air data lines and electrical cabling to pass through so they can`t rub on the bell-crank.

Me too. I thought it was awfully nice of them to put that nice hole there for me.

Default Thx guys I thought so much

Preparing to put bottom skins on so thought I should just check before buttoning up. So unused tooling holes, could be used to blind rivet retaining clips.

Awesome thx.
