Unhappy Vertical Power / Alternator

After about 4 flight hours of no issues with the new G3X / VPX Sport
install, I got a alternator fault - field wire short. Alternator
is off line. Field wire shows shows about 600 ohms back to vpx when
disconnected from alt. Show 11 volts disconnected from alt with field
on or off. Alt bench checked good.
How do I clear the fault? Vpx will not allow me to reset
the fault. Plane power people tried to talk to vertical pwr folks
but no joy. I tried the vertical pwr folks, no joy.
Anybody got ideas or a better way to contact vertical power?

Phil

Hmm, that doesn't sound like Marc, Jake, or Stephen. I'm usually able to get Marc on the phone. However, the week before OSH and they have a new product coming out, they may be busy.

The next best method is to post on their support forum. They are usually pretty good at responding.

Please call us at 505 715-6172 or email me at marc 'at' verticalpower.com. We've been having phone troubles the last few days - apologize for any inconvenience.

Wow! 16 minute response time via a non-direct communication method.

Default Problem solved - Thanks

Problem solved with good info and quick response
from Marc. He filled in the gaps in my limited knowledge
of the systems and is a nice guy too! Thanks
