Default 1/8" Spacer on Catto Prop

Vans drawing C4 (propeller installation) shows an 1/8" thick "Optional Spacer" directly on the front side of the prop, behind the front spinner bulkhead. Is this spacer used with a Catto prop?

I don't think so, I think remember a metal ring on the rear mounting surface built into the Catto. I believe some wood props aren't thick enough and the spacer in the location you describe makes up the difference.
It was saber spacer-rear spinner bulkhead-prop-front bulkhead-crush plate. (at least I hope I did it right!)

The 2 spinner bulkheads and crush plate

Default Spacer

Yes it is. If you have any doubts, call Saber Manufacturing or Craig Catto

Hmmm, I will call Saber to verify but I received my prop and saber spacer from Catto. Catto also drilled my spinner holes and made my cutouts. I received no optional spacer with my order.
The DWG C4 says optional spacer (.125 2024-t-3), prop and spacer thickness should add up to 4 3/8 inch. My Catto hub measures 4 3/8 inches without the optional spacer. My spinner holes lined up great as delivered from Catto without the optional spacer so I assumed I don't need it. I will call on Mon to double check and can post on that call if you like.
Dbro172, do you have your prop and extension already?

Yup, just got same Saber extension as you in the mail yesterday. My Catto two blade also measures 4-3/8" so I'm with you thinking the 1/8" spacer is just to makeup space and therefore not needed. Interested to see what Catto says.

Default spacer on catto

Craig has already bonded a 1/8 in spacer on the aft hub of the prop. Mine came unglued and I had to get Craig to send me a kit he has made up for just this purpose. He is a pleasure to work with but can be difficult to reach. And I love the catto prop.

That's what I assumed when I mounted mine and everything fit well. I'm afraid I might end up needing a heavier crush plate for CG after I weigh it.
