Default Trim tab rod clearance?

I am just finishing the electric elevator trim system and would estimate I am going to have to cut 2 additional inches toward the rear for the clevis and rod to clear for up and down travel. I was wondering how much others have had to cut out of the trim tab rod hole/notch for travel up and down clearance. It just seems like a lot to cut out. Thanks Alan

0 for me. My kit came with 2 different sets of aluminum brackets to attach to the trim tab skin. One for electric trim, the other for manual trim. Might want to verify which set you are using. My 2 cents...

Hi Alan. I agree with Charlie something not quite right. If you look at my log entry here I had to extend about 1/2" and it works great. I use a Governor Mk 3 to control it and its speed control is very useful. Might like to have a look at this log entry
