Default Tips for installing aft stick mount?

(In case you missed it: RV-4 specific)
It's always been an occasional pain in the neck, but now I have to remove and replace the aft cockpit floor several times to fit check some stuff and re-rig my flap actuator. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for reaching the aft stick mount (F437) locknuts with the floor in place? Getting the nuts to the underside is a major pain and as per plans you can't R&R the floor with the mount in place.

Van's says platenuts are an acceptable substitute for this application. Now I don't have to grow a third elbow.
