conduit in wings
Any reason Van's conduit can't be placed in the second hole back from the spars with a dab of rtv to hold it in place? Would save me from drilling all the ribs.

RTV isn't a secure mounting method for anything

Those might be appropriate for static environments like the studs in your home walls, but who knows how they'd fare in the dynamic environment of an aircraft. You wouldn't want them cracking and having your conduit flopping around in your wing.
Drilling the holes in the spars wasn't too hard (used a few 12" drill extensions). dragging the conduit through them was. :-)

Or drill the holes with a Unibit, pop in some bushings - and do this before riveting the ribs to the spars - and it's a cinch.

Another way ...
I riveted small pieces of 1/2" angle to the tops of the lightening holes and then screwed Adels to them to hold the conduit.

Five brackets hold a piece of DWV quite firmly:
I thought I was home free until time to install the W-818 aileron push rod. No go.
I couldn't see anywhwere to mount these without the conduit interfering with either the push rod or riveting the bottom skin. YMMV with RV-9 wings. Took them out and will just run a string through snap bushings for any wiring that overflows the black corrugated conduit I installed per plans.

Same hangers
Dale,
I used the same hangers - seems pretty secure to me.

I think what you are asking about (conduit in the lightening hole and anchored by tie straps) is described in item #3 in this Construction FAQ:
http://www.vansaircraft.com/pdf/Wing_Wiring.pdf
There are also more tips and tricks described in this entire library:

I hope you meant "...drilling the holes in the ribs..."
I think that's what you meant, but just for the record, I don't think anyone would be drilling holes in the spars without contacting the factory.
