Default Polishing James cowl rings

Hi all,

For those that have polished the JAMES cowl metal rings, what procedure works best? Both the removable rings and the fixed carb ring?

Thanks

They are anodized, so it takes some effort. I used sandpaper and chucked them up in my lathe to break the surface. Then polish like anything else.
