Default Length of gear legs

Folks,

On the -4, how long are the gear legs on the short gear or the long gear?

Thanks,

My son Peter is working on getting his 1989 finished RV-4 ready for IAC sportsman class airobatics.
He called me @ work, so I asked him to measure his gear legs, which we presume to be the 'short' legs.
He measured approx. 30" from the bottom of the gear leg socket on the engine mount, to the guesstimated center of the axle (wheel pant on).
I hope that is useful info...

The old style "short" legs are 48 inches long, the new style "long" legs are 50.5 inches long.

ShipCheif is right, the short ones are 30inches from the bottom of the mount to the axle center line.

The Long legs are appx 32.5 from the bottom of the mount to the axle centerline.

Hope that helps.

Richard
