Classic Aero Aviator Side Panel Button Spacing

For those with Classic Aero side panels, can you tell me the spacing between the velcro "buttons" on the panel (that hold the lower half). is it 1.5" center to center, or 1.5" edge to edge?

The spacing is 1.5" from center to center.
